Chairman's Committee

In November 2009 Council approved the recommendation from the Governance Review Group  to disband the Chairman's Committee with effect from January 2010.

The Chairman’s Committee was a committee of Council, responsible for reviewing, on a regular basis, the progress of the College as a whole against its strategic plans. In this it had particular regard to:

  • Issues affecting the recruitment and retention of staff
  • Issues affecting the recruitment of students
  • The sustainability of the College’s financial position
  • The College’s standing with its regulators and funders
  • The College’s relationship with the NHS
  • The College’s relationship with other HEIs
  • any other issues of strategic concern

 

The minutes of this Committee are confidential.

The Secretary to Chairman's Committee was Wendy Appleby (Secretary to Council and Academic Secretary).
