Chairman's Committee
In November 2009 Council approved the recommendation from the Governance Review Group to disband the Chairman's Committee with effect from January 2010.
The Chairman’s Committee was a committee of Council, responsible for reviewing, on a regular basis, the progress of the College as a whole against its strategic plans. In this it had particular regard to:
- Issues affecting the recruitment and retention of staff
- Issues affecting the recruitment of students
- The sustainability of the College’s financial position
- The College’s standing with its regulators and funders
- The College’s relationship with the NHS
- The College’s relationship with other HEIs
- any other issues of strategic concern
