Examinations

These pages will provide essential information for all students taking examinations at Queen Mary, University of London.

Please note that the information on these pages does not relate to Undergraduate Medicine and Dentistry students. These students should contact the student office at Whitechapel.

The examinations team is located in the Academic Registry (Room CB05, Ground Floor, Queen’s Building). The office is open Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm. The team can also be contacted by emailing exams@qmul.ac.uk or by using the details on our contact details page.

Examination timetable

The College examination periods for 2011/12 will take place as follows:

Main Examination Period: Monday 30th April – Friday 8th June 2012

Please note that it is your responsibility to know the date, time and venue of your examinations. Misreading the timetable is not a valid excuse for missing an examination. 

Personal timetable on MySIS

A personal timetable will be available on MySIS showing the exams you are registered to take and the date, start time, venue and seat number for each examination.

Candidate number

The candidate number is the number that you should use on all examination stationery for examinations taking place in 2011/12. The nine digit number can be found to the right of your name on your student ID card.

As of 2010/11, the green five character examination numbers printed on older ID cards are no longer used.

Religious holidays

The main examination period takes place between 30th April and 8th June 2012. Any students who have Religous commitments during this period should complete a Notifications of Religious Holidays form and return it to the Examinations Team in Academic Registry by Friday 20 January 2012.
