Governance relates to the processes and procedures that govern Queen Mary and the committees with have oversight over them. The College Council and its various committees have superintendence over the work of the College.
The Senate of Queen Mary is responsible for the oversight of the academic activity at Queen Mary including, amongst other things, academic standards, academic freedom and research. The Vice Principals for Student Experience, Teaching & Learning and Research have advisory groups which report both to Senate and the Queen Mary Senior Executive.
Information Governance consists of the policies, procedures and other controls for managing information and complying with legal and operational requirements. It includes Freedom of Information, data protection and records management.
