Awarded to recognise significant, sustained achievement while working in the field. Including high quality data collection, professional collaboration and independence in fieldwork design.

Criteria:
Awardees must meet at least one of these criteria:
- Those who have engaged in an extended period of field-based data collection. Merit is given to those who have independently organised the logistics surrounding their fieldwork.
- Those who have shown skill in designing a field-based sampling campaign, and have overcome obstacles to achieve this (e.g. gaining site access and permissions).
- Those who have shown professionalism in collaborating with laboratory staff to achieve their goals.
